His works often intertwine with personal memories, including those of Idrija, where he spent part of 1930 as a child. He reflects on this period in his novel <strong><em>Amado mio<\/em><\/strong>, which, along with <em>Petrolio<\/em>, <em>Una vita violenta<\/em>, <em>Teorema<\/em>, and <em>Il sogno di una cosa<\/em>, has been translated into Slovenian.<\/p>\n<p>His filmography includes numerous classics, such as <em>Accattone, Mamma Roma, The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Medea, The Decameron, The Canterbury Tales, Sal\u00f2, or the 120 Days of Sodom<\/em>. In 1995, the Slovenian Pasolini expert Majda \u0160irca directed a documentary film about him.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the memory of the time Pasolini spent in Idrija is preserved through two historic buildings located in the square:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Magazin<\/strong> (1769), originally the mine&#8217;s grain warehouse, which today houses the Municipal Library, the Magazin Gallery, and the War Museum.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Cinema Theater<\/strong> (1770), built with leftover materials from the construction of the Magazin.
