The story

TRACES OF PASOLINI

In Sacile, Pasolini attended elementary school during the 1929-1931 period (interrupted by his move to Idrija), where he also took the entrance exam for the gymnasium. After failing Italian, he passed the retake exam in October.

The small town, crossed by the Livenza River, is called the “Garden of the Serenissima” for its Venetian-style atmosphere, featuring sixteenth-century palaces, the Cathedral of San Nicolò, the small Church of the Madonna della Pietà, and Piazza del Popolo, overlooked by beautiful arcaded buildings.
